During our travels to Southeast Asia, we fell in love with bao in China and pan in Japan. Steamed bao were abundantly sold on street corners and causing lineups at the small kiosks and bakeries in all the neighbourhoods.
By playing with street food recipes inside a baked (vs steamed) brioche-style bun, we dreamt it could be a perfect and convenient hand-held street food for Toronto foodies. And so HotBunzz was born. FRESH OUT OF THE OVEN!
