What's In A Bun


At HotBunzz Street Cuizine we are inspired to bake up a Toronto version of the traditional Asian bao, a creative artisan bun stuffed with international flavours baked into an on-the-go  format. We are passionate about bringing the movement of street cuisine to the festivals and events that gave us our start, and to our new bricks & mortar pop-up shop location at Queen & Spadina!

Baked fresh daily, HotBunzz uses all natural ingredients locally sourced where possible, with toppings to entertain the eyes and palate.

From Bao to Bunzz

During our travels to Southeast Asia, we fell in love with bao in China and pan in Japan. Steamed bao were abundantly sold on street corners and causing lineups at the small kiosks and bakeries in all the neighbourhoods.

By playing with street food recipes inside a baked (vs steamed) brioche-style bun, we dreamt it could be a perfect and convenient hand-held street food for Toronto foodies. And so HotBunzz was born. FRESH OUT OF THE OVEN!
